Here is the second of the two hand-drawn digital abstract paintings I finished recently – the first had a cool palette of blue and green, whereas this is warmer, with brown, orange and gold.
Ideally I’d like to be working in long series, all in a consistent style. But the reality is I’m in an experimental phase right now and have been enjoying creating shorter series or collections of pieces that loosely go together. Two paintings isn’t enough to really call these a ‘series’, but I still prefer making just two to a bunch of one-off pieces. There’s a lot of pressure on artists to nail down a style and stick to it to the exclusion of all else, but that’s not where I am right now, so I’m not going to fight it 🙂
This abstract art is available for sale as prints, pillow, phone cases and more in my stores on Society6 and Pixels.
BTW, talking of series… my next colouring book will be my 25th full size book, and is nearly ready! I’m just waiting for the proof copy to arrive, then I’ll be able to publish it after a final check. I’ll update here soon 😀
