I’ve been very slack about updating my site recently! I’ve been in a kind of hibernation mode, still making art behind the scenes, but I didn’t feel like posting it anywhere. But I do have some things to share. To get back into it, I’m going to add a few new art pieces and patterns that I made in the last half of 2024. Then I’ll get to the new stuff!
Soft Spiral Abstract Painting in Mint Green and Purple
This isn’t a style I’ve tried before, but it was inspired by an artist webinar that I watched on Society6, where I have a store. The webinar was about design trends for the upcoming year. Now, I personally have no interest in trends at all, but since I’m making things to sell (in part, anyway), I thought I’d take a look and see if any of them might fit with the kind of art I already like to make, or would maybe help to focus my ideas a bit. I quite liked this particular trend, Tinted Futurism, which has a very peaceful, relaxing kind of vibe, so I decided to make a few pieces in that style.
This digital painting (drawn in Procreate, as usual) is the first one, and features a soft spiral in mint green on a lilac purple background, with glowing white dots. It looks super simple, but took a surprisingly long amount of time to make! I was doing my usual thing of overly-obsessing over the details – even though it’s one of the least ‘detailed’ things I’ve ever done – and that’s a habit I really need to work on breaking this year.

This year I’m going to be focusing on more wall art and seamless patterns. I do have plans for more colouring books too, but they’re not my priority at the moment.
